Join us on our Open Studio Tuesdays! Bring your favourite art supplies and get your next piece ready for the Doyles. The Hive Art Gallery on the Gold Coast encourages all creatives to get involved in local and inter-state Art Awards and Prizes and is a champion for, and proud sponsor of the Doyles Art Award in Mudgeeraba. The Doyles is the longest running community art award on the Gold Coast.
Our Buzz Nights offer an opportunity for locals to drop into the Hive with their favourite vinyl record to play on the 1950’s record player, chat with a Hive artist and share their thoughts on work on the walls.

Our International Connections with the Home of Fresco Painting- Florence Italy
The Hive Art Gallery has a close affiliation with the brothers Roberto and Rodolfo Guarnieri, master fresco painters from Florence, Italy. Their Iguarnieri Studio is situated on the banks of the Arno River near Ponte Vecchio. www.iguarnieri.it
In 2019, the brothers visited us in Currumbin and painted an extremely popular series of works during their Australian Painting Tour featuring Gold Coast landscapes, figurative painting from Life Drawing Sessions, and their iconic Poppy designs. Several Iguarnieri works remain in our gallery for viewing and purchase.
During our events and workshops, we are often lucky enough to be able to connect with them in their studio via the internet to see how their fresco painting work is progressing, show them our work, and say Chao and G’day. Sharing creative energy makes the process so much fun.
